My first visit at the weekend, a beautiful sunny Sunday. I chose this cafe after a good walk around Penrith due to its popularity and the meals I could see served to those in the outdoor area. The cafe was clean with welcoming, attentive staff. I started with a glass of water whilst deciding what to eat. There's an extensive choice of hot and cold meals across the menu and specials board. There's also a good choice of beverages and desserts. I opted for the tuna and cheese ciabatta with Earl Grey tea, followed by a slice of Peppermint Crunch.
My first time in Penrith, and I was looking for a nice place to have lunch. Was so glad I chose this little cafe! It's located in a narrow pedestrianised shopping street in the centre of town. Bright, nicely decorated and very clean, with comfy chairs and little vases of flowers on the tables. Dog friendly. There's a clean accessible downstairs toilet, and plenty of seating for those who prefer to eat outside. The cafe seemed very popular with the locals, which is always a good recommendation! It was busy when I arrived, but the friendly staff made me feel really welcome, and I only had to wait a few minutes for my lunch. They have a very extensive menu with options ranging from breakfasts, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, to grilled meat dishes and traditional cooked lunches. There are vegetarian and vegan options, and a children's menu. I chose one of the day's specials: a bacon, mushroom and cheese omelette with chunky chips, salad and homemade coleslaw. The omelette and chips were well cooked and piping hot, the salad was fresh, and the portions were large. Good strong pot of tea. What's more, the price was very reasonable given the excellent quality of the meal. The cakes displayed on the counter looked delicious! Would certainly come here for lunch again!

During our holiday, we have eaten here on 3 occasions. I have had a different breakfast every time and have not been disappointed at all. Everything is fresh and yummy. Not greasy at all. A perfect start to a packed day. The staff are the perfect level of attentive, they give service with a smile, always, which adds to the relaxed chilled atmosphere. Highly recommended.
What a fantastic cafe! I swear it's the only cafe in the town! The only 1 open on a Sunday morning anyway! So happy I found this place! Good is so good! Staff are friendly and the prices aren't too bad either. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
the “gourmet breakfast” was incredible and just what we did needed after a day of hiking and camping! massive portion, decent price and fast service :)
